How Do You Connect a WhatsApp Number to Phantom Forwarder?

Before you start: the risk, and what the number needs

WhatsApp does not offer an official way to automate forwarding. Phantom links to your number the way a linked device does, using an unofficial library, and that is against WhatsApp's terms. Accounts used this way can be permanently banned. The risk is yours to take, and it is exactly why the first rule is: link a dedicated number, never your personal one.

• Use a dedicated number you are prepared to lose, not the one your contacts know.
• The phone with that number has to come online at least once every 14 days, or WhatsApp disconnects the linked session.
• WhatsApp forwarding is available from the Gold plan up. The free trial does not include it.

Where the connection lives

1. Open your Phantom dashboard and click WhatsApp in the sidebar. The page is called WhatsApp connection.
2. If the page says forwarding is not available on your account, your plan does not include it yet: it starts at Gold.
3. Click Link your number. You are offered two ways to connect: a QR code or a pairing code.

Method 1: link with the QR code

1. On your phone, open WhatsApp and go to Settings, then Linked devices, then Link a device.
2. Point the camera at the QR code shown in the dashboard. The code refreshes every few seconds, so scan the one currently on screen.
3. Wait a moment: the page switches to connected on its own when WhatsApp accepts the link.

Method 2: link with the phone number code

1. Click the option to link with a phone number instead and type the number.
2. WhatsApp gives you a pairing code to type on that phone: open WhatsApp on it, go to Settings, then Linked devices, then Link a device, then Link with phone number instead.
3. Type the code on the phone. The dashboard turns to connected when the link is accepted.

Several devices on the same number

WhatsApp allows a number to stay linked to several devices at once, and Phantom takes one of those slots: it does not remove your phone, and linking it does not log you out anywhere. If you already use WhatsApp Web on a computer, that link keeps working.

The reverse is also true: your phone stays the master. If you log out of all linked devices from the phone, or the number goes 14 days without the phone coming online, the Phantom connection drops with the rest, and forwarding stops until you link again.
