How Do You Automatically Forward Telegram Messages to WhatsApp?
The people who need your Telegram channel's messages already live in WhatsApp: a team group, a family chat, a suppliers list. Instead of asking them to install Telegram, relay the channel into WhatsApp and let the messages come to them. One warning first, because it concerns the number that does the sending.
First, the risk to the number
WhatsApp bans numbers used with unofficial automation, and the ban is permanent. Phantom talks to WhatsApp the way a linked device does, through an unofficial library, because WhatsApp offers no official automation interface. That is why the number doing the sending must be a dedicated one, never your personal account. The safety page linked below has the full picture.
What you need
- A Phantom account on the Gold plan or above: WhatsApp forwarding starts at Gold, and the free trial does not include it.
- A dedicated WhatsApp number linked in the dashboard: it is the account that posts the messages into WhatsApp.
- Your Telegram account connected as usual, so Phantom can read the source channel or group.
Create the rule
- Link your dedicated WhatsApp number from the WhatsApp page in the dashboard, with the QR code or the pairing code.
- Create a new rule and pick the Telegram channel or group as the source.
- Pick the destination from your WhatsApp chats: a group or a one-to-one chat, by name.
- Add a header so readers in WhatsApp can see where each message comes from, and filters if you want to keep the volume down.
- Save, then post a test message in the Telegram source and check it lands in the WhatsApp chat.
What arrives in WhatsApp
Text, photos, videos, documents and voice notes arrive with their content. Messages posted as albums arrive as separate messages, replies-to arrive without the link to what they answered, and buttons become plain text. Formatting inside the text is kept to what WhatsApp supports.
One feature has no meaning in this direction: Ghost Mode hides your account while forwarding to a Telegram destination, but in WhatsApp the messages are always sent by the linked number. There is no anonymity on the WhatsApp side.
Keeping the WhatsApp side readable
A busy Telegram channel can flood a WhatsApp group, and WhatsApp is stricter about bulk sending than Telegram. Keyword filters, a minimum length and active hours keep only the useful posts moving. If the source repeats itself, duplicate detection stops the same message arriving twice.
Common questions
Do the people in the WhatsApp chat need Telegram installed?
No. They only see normal WhatsApp messages, posted by the linked number. Telegram stays on your side of the rule.
Can I forward into a WhatsApp group I am not in?
The linked number has to be a participant of the destination group. If it is not, the message has nowhere to be posted and the delivery fails.
Will the WhatsApp recipients see my Telegram account?
No. Messages arrive from the WhatsApp number, with no reference to Telegram. A header you set in the rule is the only label they see.
Why can the messages not be anonymous in WhatsApp?
Ghost Mode works only in Telegram destinations, where you can post with an anonymous channel identity. WhatsApp always sends from the linked number, so the number is the sender.
